Queen Latifah

Dana Elaine Owens, better than Queen Latifah the United States is a rapper and actress. Queen Latifah's performance in the fields of music, film and television has earned her a Golden Globe award two Screen Actors Guild Awards two Image Awards a Grammy Award and six more Grammy nominations an Emmy Award nomination and an Academy Award nomination. Queen Latifah is a Newark New Jersey native. Her parents were Lancelot Sr. as a police officer and Rita, a teacher of Irvington High School. Latifah's parents separated when she was just 10 years old. Latifah was born and raised in Newark New Jersey attended Catholic schools in Newark.
