Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman from America. She is the owner and the president of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss was born in California and was raised as part of a wealthy family. Jerry Buss is her father. He was a real estate tycoon, and later the manager of Lakers and other enterprises. After her parents split up in 1972, she believed they had abandoned her. At 19 years old, she began working for the family's business, serving as general manager for the Los Angeles Strings professional tennis team. The team was later renamed an organization called the Los Angeles Blades, a professional, roller-hockey club. Her first role was vice-president of the Lakers before she assumed the role of President of the Great Western Forum. Her father died in 2013, and the control of the Lakers was passed on to Buss and her five siblings through a family trust with each sibling having the same vote. She assumed her duties as president of Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also the co-owner in Women of Wrestling a pro-wrestling promotion that is based in Los Angeles.
